Testimonials

The small class sizes made it easy to ask questions and allowed for one-on-one attention I couldn’t get elsewhere. The playgroups are also fantastic. Dr. Belock does a great job of guiding the action and keeping the dogs in control. It’s been amazing to watch my puppy go from out of control and scared at the start of the session to playing nicely with a dog she’s just met by the end. It’s clear the trainers love what they do and are expert communicators with dogs and humans alike. Can’t recommend them enough!

Canine Body and Mind has been a wonderful support to our family and puppy training needs. My puppy and I have gained enormous confidence and skills in each of our classes. Dr. Belock and Brooke are personable, knowledgeable, encouraging and show a great passion for our dogs and our ability as owners to positively train. The building and training area is clean, large, comfortable and safe for puppies like mine who are slow to warm up and gain trust. We're so happy to have found Canine Body and Mind!

“Our 4-year lab mix is a rescue that we welcomed in our home. He has emotional disabilities. He is fearful and easily startled. When startled he is in 100% reactive mode. In June of 2021, we began bringing him to Dr. Beth Belock. From day one, she began providing us with the tools and understanding to equip him with the ability to be successful. His growth will be a slow process and there is no one more equipped than Dr. Beth Belock to help him and us on this journey. We are extremely confident in her approach and skill set.”

“Great experience! We started taking our mini Aussie for private lessons at Canine Body and Mind to learn how to work through his reactivity. We were recommended by our vet and we’re very pleased with the progress he’s made. Through private lessons and working at home with him, we’re happy to say that he’s a friendly boy when we take him out in public now. Dr. Belock is very patient, in tune and knowledgeable about dog behaviors.”

“We had so much success with our dog at the puppy socialization class. The skills were taught in such a manner it was easy to take home and repeat/practice. My puppy made great improvements by the end of the 4 weeks and he loved every minute of the classes. We cannot wait to start the next level!”

“We first came to Canine Body and Mind to address our dog’s reactivity and guarding. Dr. Belock gave us the knowledge to meet our dog’s needs and offered creative solutions to her pulling and stressing on walks. Slowly but surely we were able to take our dog into more public spaces with significantly less stress and less reactivity. It has been incredible to see her progress into a well behaved and much happier dog!”

“My dog and I absolutely loved Rally! We both learned a lot during the 6 weeks. What we learned has helped us with our walking skills in day to day life. We gained better rapport with each other, gained confidence in our heel work, and had a lot of fun! It was a nice relaxed environment which helped both my dog and I feel comfortable to try new things. I highly recommend this Rally class to anyone interested! I am excited to do more Rally classes through Canine Body and Mind.”

“We love the cooperative care training that we have done with Dr. Belock and our Bee. She has come such a long way from when we started. We are very pleased with the results so far and we look forward to working with her to help Bee get even more comfortable in these situations.”
